  • JONATHAN S. ABRAMOWITZ, Ph.D.

    Dr. Jonathan Abramowtiz is a clinical psychologist in Chapel Hill, NC, specializing in the treatment of OCD and anxiety-related disorders. His primary approach is cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) using exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance-based (ACT), and other cognitive therapy interventions. He has nearly 30 years of experience, as is internationally recognized as a leading expert in both the treatment and research of these conditions. His career is devoted to providing effective, compassionate care to people of all backgrounds and life experiences, helping them overcome anxiety and lead more fulfilling lives. Dr. Abramowitz is also a Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill, where he leads the Clinical Psychology PhD Training Program, conduct research on OCD and anxiety disorders, and train future clinicians. He has authored numerous self-help books, professional guides, and over 350 scientific articles to help make evidence-based treatments accessible.
